[SPOILER ALERT]:
Before I could even begin to review "The Crocodile" (Episode 4) I had to speculate on Dr. Whale! His episode is coming up next Sunday and from the promo video it's going to be a doozy!!
Since Dr. Whale come onto the scene that long time ago in Season 1, Episode 3, I've tried to gather clues on who the mysterious doctor's fairy tale counterpart is.
My running theory...the Big Bad Wolf (first from Red Riding Hood...but that changed after the show disproved that theory thoroughly, and then I thought maybe from the Three Little Pigs). I say the Big Bad Wolf due to Dr. Whale's interest in Ruby...who is, after all, a wolf. Male wolves like female wolves, right?
Well, many clues pointed that my theory would be correct. Not many guessers suspected Dr. Whale of being the Big Bad Wolf, and David Anders (Dr. Whale) teased that no one would be able to guess his identity.
Obviously, that type of statement is only going to fuel the fire of speculation.
It wasn't until after tonight's episode, which showed a preview of next week's "The Doctor" episode, that my theory was drastically altered, i.e. thrown out.
Watch this!

Now...take this into consideration: Next week is Once Upon a Time's Halloween episode, so we can expect it to be scary, or in the least...shocking?! (pun intended). And knowing that it's Dr. Whale's episode, think terrifying characters.
Here is a fellow blogger's evidence on why Dr. Whale may very well be Dr. Frankenstein, as in the Frankenstein!

So tell me what you think. Is Dr. Whale Frankenstein? Can Frankenstein's story fit into the Once Upon a Time world? What are your theories on Dr. Whale? Is this evidence proof enough or could he be someone else?
It's your last week to cash in... Drop me a note below!
